11/16/03 I want my da-da
Let's all come together to wish our gtrist, George, the very best an he enters fatherhood for the first time. Needless to say, his attentions are being well and rightly spent at home for the next lil while...

As for the show on Nov 29th, the game plan is that Jay will use the booking at the Kibitz Room to promote some of his latest solo work, together with talented singer Kristofer McNeeley. Stay tuned for more as it comes available.

8/30/03 DON'T COME SEE US...!
...on September 3rd, anyway :-) Despite what you'll read in LAWeekly, we're NOT playing at Club Lingerie on Wednesday. We do have a mid-Sept show in San Pedro, though. See SHOWS for details.
8/15/03 How many shows was that, anyhow?
LB and NoHo hosted [ML] shows last Sat & Sun, respectively. With so many recent performances, we're taking a couple weeks off to work on other stuff. Our next shows are in September together with some great local bands. See SHOWS for details.
8/6/03 No Falcon, no good? No way!
Despite our drummer Dave being out of town, we did a great little laid back acoustic set tonight on the Venice boardwalk. Funny what you can hear in the music when you don't have all those fucking drums in the background. Just kidding, Dave. Hurry back. We need you for the 2 big shows this weekend!!! :-)
8/1/03 M, M Good
Played Hollywood's "M Bar" Wednesday right after the comedy show. When we got there, we thought we were at the wrong place. THAT was funny. hee hee
7/24/03 The beach and more of the beach
Thanks to Roxy and all who came out to hear us at the Venice Bistro last night! It's great looking out and seeing people having a good time. :-) After our set, we were asked back... Check out SHOWS for more bookings on the boardwalk. :-)
7/20/03 Reaching all corners of the globe
Last night's main theme was 'fun' (or, arguably, 'public drunkeness' [joke] ). Got our feet wet with some new material, and our new drummer Dave was great. If you weren't at McRed's, maybe you caught the Internet broadcast... (If anybody recorded it, please let us know, ha ha) Got a new show near the beach Wednesday so hope you can join us!
7/15/03 New MP3 Available
Make your own Morris Lane 'rehearsals & live' cd from songs available on this site... now including a newly posted track called "Be Your Man." The adventure begins on the MP3's page!
7/14/03 Please welcome Dave Falcon ! ! ! ! !
It is with great pleasure that Morris Lane introduces accomplished drummer Dave Falcon. Dave's prior work includes playing with Edie Brickell, Reverend Horton Heat and the Old97's. He's a "must-hear," so come out to one of our newly scheduled SHOWS and say 'hi' to the new line-up!
6/10/03 This could be you
It's official.... Our wonderful, talented drummer Chris Heuer has become overloaded with requests for his drummer services and will be going his own way. If you are a nice, talented, reliable and devoted musician anywhere between the valley and Orange County, email us if you think you're a fit! morrislaneband@yahoo.com
5/22/03 Easy now
Played a soft, slow, melancholy acoustic set at a punk rock bar in Huntington Beach a couple nights back. We thought we were gonna get our asses kicked but turns out the bar owner and tenders enjoyed the bit of peace Morris Lane was able to provide. Look out cuz later in the month it's the likes of Gasface, Punk As A Doornail and more at the Liquid Den...
5/16/03 Morris who?
Help us celebrate a cool little milestone, won't ya? We're pleased to announce that we've begun getting invitations from venues to play shows based on our music on the MP3'S page. Check out new dates by visiting SHOWS!
5/9/03 Cat Club #2
Gearing up for tomorrow's Cat Club show. Word on the street is that our lively & limber drummer Chris may be on tour w/ another band in June, so catch us NOW or wait til July... A few new dates added, see SHOWS. xoxox
4/29/03 Cat Club #1
1 down and 1 to go! Last night's Cat Club show went swimmingly. Continued SUPER-THANKS to those who came out to enjoy us. The Cat Club is a cool little hang, eh? As one silly Morris Lane guitarist put it, 'It sure does take a lot of guts to open up a place next door to The Whisky." Anyhows, next Cat Club show is Saturday, May 10th so... see ya there!
4/22/03 Old Towne Pub
One great fringe bennie of having Morris Lane is that shows create fab opps to see friends. Thanks to all who came to the Old Towne Pub tonight! Your encouragement is super, your feedback invaluable. (Aside: Next time it won't be a Monday at OTP... Ken & Marco invited us back any night we want. They enjoyed what they called our "Silver Lake Sound") Laters!
4/18/03 McRed's
Had fun playing for ourselves at McRed's last night. :-) Was perfect warm up for the upcoming Cat Club shows, and the bartender thought we were great! >;-)
4/17/03 Welcome!
Welcome to MORRIS LANE! Obviously under construction...

SHOWS has nice printable fliers for discounts on admission to upcoming performances. (NOTE TO GRAPHIC ARTISTS: Care to design a flier for an upcoming show? Just let us know!) There's also a GALLERY of past art available off the SHOWS page.
